We spent half the day at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, which is amazing if you love movies. The best temporary exhibit, of the few they have in their 3 floors of art, was one called Regeneration, an exhibit of Black entertainers through history, much of which included a lot of racist tropes and images.

It is conveniently located to dining, nightlife, arts and entertainment but the breathtaking waterfront views are the best! Modern decor and luxury combined with art and design. If you are looking for the perfect place to stay in the heart of downtown Miami the Elser Hotel, is it! Like I said, it is a vibe. My son loved it!

See a free concert Summertime is the best time to get outside and oftentimes the sunny weather comes with outdoor concerts and other entertainment. My goal right now is to go to our Japanese American Museum, but I also haven't been to the Portland Art Museum in a long time, so I hope to get to both of those at some point.

Interactive museums - I love a normal museum, but I think the creativity of museums that are interactive and more than just looking at art on a wall or things in a case are next level. I've been doing more lately, but some of my favorites have been Hopscotch Portland , Arte Museum and Omega Mart in Las Vegas.

I also like to be entertained and learn new things, and download great podcasts for my plane ride. A temporary exhibit at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures More Than a Mapp Wherever you go, you can find points of interest and historical markers for Black history. when you love the art, but the artist is problematic, or vice versa).

Build in extra time to get there and have entertainment to keep you busy, or plan on getting a meal post-security or using other amenities , like a yoga room, movies, or looking at art. You don't want to be the last person through security for your flight, because the odds of you getting bumped are much higher then.
