Just look at the many people scouring garage sales in the summer. Likewise, thrift stores are always full of people. Blender Fifteen years ago, I bought a blender at a garage sale for $3. Toaster Oven I bought a toaster oven at a garage sale for $2. Go Frugal Go Green' Electronics.

Shop garage sales and thrift stores and estate sales. Christmas decorations, wrap, bows and ribbon all are continuous offerings at pretty much every garage sale, thrift store or estate sale I’ve ever shopped. Holiday tins are also bountiful at these sales. Go Green'

Garage sales, estate sales, and moving sales are all great places to look for used furniture. You can also find truly interesting pieces at estate sales. There are usually plenty of used engagement rings for sale at reasonable prices. Are you too proud to buy used jewelry? Don’t be! What do you think?

Sure I knew about the ‘White sales’ – the ones stores used to have in January on sheets and towels and such, but I really hadn’t a clue that there is a best time to buy many other things! However, I wait until spring and summer to buy decorations – and get them at garage sales. Winter clothes. Brand name TVs.

Not only will renovations provide pleasure and function to you, but they could increase the sale value of your home a bit. Garage or estate sales. Thrift shops. I found wood frames for my national park posters and a wildlife themed shower curtain at the local thrift stores. Installation of new green board.
